Dallas Museums Worth a Visit
Dallas is the 9th largest city in the U.S. and the 3rd largest city in Texas and with a booming population of 1.3 million people, there is no wonder as to how and why the city has become what it is today. Dallas has also become a very popular city for tourism. With the Meyerson Symphony Center, Downtown Dallas, Victory Park, the Dallas World Aquarium and various other attractions, many people have opted to take a trip to Dallas to experience a few days in Texas. Along with these great forms of entertainment, there are also plenty of Dallas museums to visit during your trip. Dallas Museum of Art
A very popular Dallas museum is the Dallas Museum of Art. The museum offers all types of tours, many of them being self-guided. A very popular exhibit is African Masks: The Art of Disguise, which offers 50 different masks and headpieces from Ancient Africa.

Here you will find plenty of exhibits and even IMAX shows about the Universe, Alaskan Nature, the Grand Canyon, and many others. IMAX and Planetarium shows are great for the whole family.
The museum offers all types of exhibits that are aimed specifically towards children. A very popular one is Dinosaurs Unearthed where children get to act like archaeologists and dig for fossils left during the time of the dinosaurs. A similar exhibit is one that tells the story of the dinosaurs that lived in Texas. There is also an exhibit that displays fossils dating back to the Ice Age. Plenty of other exhibits are also available, such as one about DNA, the oceans, and one all about the body.
The Sixth Floor Museum
With such a random name you’re probably wondering just what the Sixth Floor Museum has to offer. The Dallas museum, homed at Dealey Plaza. covers the legacy and abrupt assassination of past president John F. Kennedy. There are various exhibits inside the museum, but the main exhibit is a focus on the life of Kennedy and his assassination, which is told through 400 different pictures, videos, artifacts, and other items. The entire exhibit sets the theme of the way of life in the 1960s and how Kennedy’s impact is still felt today.
Also tied into the museum is an exhibit that tells the Kennedy assassination from a journalist’s point of view, explaining the various challenges that most if not all journalists had to face when trying to collect facts about the assassination.
